With the 27.2 software updates released today, Siri AI — an entirely new version of Siri that is profoundly more capable, conversational, and personal — is expanding to more people around the world, with availability now in the French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish languages.
Siri AI is a completely reimagined version of Siri that is more personal and powerful. Built on Apple Intelligence, it draws on personal context understanding to help users find what they need in the moment across their messages, emails, photos, and more. With even more systemwide app actions, Siri AI can help users with tasks such as drafting an email from scratch or editing and sharing a set of photos. With onscreen awareness, Siri AI can answer questions or take actions related to the content on a user’s screen. It can also use broad world knowledge to get up-to-date information on virtually any topic.
Language support for Siri AI will continue to expand, with availability in Chinese (traditional), Norwegian, Turkish, and Vietnamese coming by the end of the year.

Key highlights below:
Now live in 27.2 across Apple platforms:
- Siri AI updates: Siri AI can recall your past conversations, so you can ask Siri about something it told you before, like the restaurants it recommended last week. It can now also draw from more sources to give you a great answer, including photos attached in Messages, Calendar event attendees, your voicemails, and better results from Safari history and Reading List. And Excluded Apps lets you choose which apps Siri, Search, and suggestions can access, all from one setting.
- Suggestions in Messages: Suggestions in Messageshelp you take quick actions in apps like Calendar and Reminders based on context from your conversation.
- Dual Capture for Group FaceTime: Dual Capture in FaceTime expands to group calls. You can stream your front and rear cameras at the same time during FaceTime calls — great for sharing what you are looking at while staying face to face.
- FaceTime update: FaceTime supports adding a third-party sign language interpreter or live captioner to a call.
- Shared Albums in Photos: Shared Albums now lets you edit captions and comments, helps avoid duplicate photos, and can display a reminder before albums expire so participants can save important photos and videos.
- Updates for iPhone Duo: Apple Pencil (USB-C) support on iPhone Duo lets you draw in apps like Notes, mark up documents in apps like Preview, and write with Scribble in any text field. Edge Light video effect uses the iPhone Duo display to illuminate your face like a virtual ring light when you’re on a video call in low light.
- Podcasts Up Next update: Up Next has been refreshed with two rows at the top of the Home tab, New Episodes and Continue Playing, helping audiences stay current with the shows they follow and easily resume episodes already in progress. New Episodes brings the latest episodes from followed shows right to the top of Home, while Continue Playing surfaces in-progress episodes, organized by most recently played. - Friends tab in the Games app: The Friends tab provides context on friend suggestions and shows recent games played on friends’ player pages.
- Simple Profiles Expansion to iOS: Profiles for everyone on Apple TV — a new way for every member of the household to enjoy their own personalized space within the Apple TV app, is now available on iOS (and iPadOS and the web). With Apple TV profiles, it’s easier than ever to set up unique profiles for family and friends who don’t have an Apple account, manage content ratings for kids, and browse movies and shows tailored just for them.
- Multiview Expansion to iOS: Multiview is now available on iPhone, allowing viewers to watch up to four live sports streams simultaneously, so they never miss a moment of the action. Multiview is available for sports events that come with the Apple TV subscription, including Major League Soccer (MLS), Formula 1 (F1) in the U.S., and Friday Night Baseball doubleheaders during the Major League Baseball (MLB) season. For Formula 1, users can choose a preset team Multiview during live events, or build their own from multiple F1 feeds, including driver-view cameras, course maps, and more.
