₹35,001–₹50,000 Is India’s Tablet Sweet Spot: Techarc InfiSights

The ₹35,001–₹50,000 tablet segment leads on average rating, NPS, sentiment and five-star share, making it India’s strongest tablet satisfaction sweet spot among price segments with a reliable feedback base.
Tablets are the happiest gadget category tracked by Techarc InfiSights in India. Across the category, 80.0% of consumer feedback is positive, and the Net Promoter Score (NPS) stands at +42. Within this already positive category, one price segment delivers a particularly strong ownership experience: ₹35,001 to ₹50,000.
Based on consumer feedback between October 2025 and September 2026, this segment accounts for 11.1% of tablet feedback across 14 models. It records the highest average rating at 4.28 stars, the strongest NPS at +49, the highest sentiment score at 0.50 and the largest five-star share at 67.4% among price segments with a reliable feedback base.
The distinction is not simply that buyers in this range are satisfied. The data indicates that they are more likely to be highly satisfied with their tablets and to recommend their ownership experience.
A Clear Lead Where It Matters
The overall tablet category records an average rating of 4.17 stars, NPS of +42, sentiment score of 0.43 and a five-star rating share of 61.8%. The ₹35,001–₹50,000 segment exceeds each of these benchmarks.
Positive consumer feedback in this price segment stands at 80.5%, compared with 80.0% for tablets overall. Negative feedback accounts for 11.9%.
The other price segments provide a useful context. The ₹25,001–₹35,000 segment records 78.3% positive feedback, an average rating of 4.06 stars and NPS of +36. The ₹18,001–₹25,000 segment is considerably larger, accounting for 42.5% of feedback, and has a slightly higher positive feedback share of 82.3%. However, it trails the ₹35,001–₹50,000 segment on average rating (4.27), NPS (+46), sentiment score (0.43) and five-star share (62.9%).
Price segments above ₹50,000 record higher scores on some measures, but together account for only 3% of feedback. Their smaller base makes it difficult to draw equally reliable conclusions about the wider market.
The ₹35,001–₹50,000 segment therefore stands out for combining strong satisfaction scores with a more substantial base of consumer feedback.
Performance, Battery and Display Drive Satisfaction
The segment’s advantage is visible across the major product topics consumers discuss. Every major topic performs better here than the corresponding tablet category benchmark.
Performance is the most discussed topic, accounting for 30% of tagged mentions. It receives 91% positive feedback and net favourability of +84%, compared with +69% for the category. Gaming-related feedback is 92% positive, while multitasking reaches 96%.
Battery is another clear strength. It receives 94% positive feedback and records net favourability of +92%, compared with +79% for the category. Battery backup alone is also 94% positive.
Display feedback is 97% positive, while design and storage receive 96% and 93% positive feedback, respectively.
The segment also performs well for productivity and creative use. Stylus and pen feedback is 95% positive, while drawing and note-taking each record positive feedback of 90% or higher.
Software receives 84% positive feedback and net favourability of +72%, compared with +58% for the category. Feedback on lag and slowdown is also notably stronger: 86% positive in this segment against 69.5% across tablets overall.
These results suggest that satisfaction is not being driven by a single specification or feature. Consumers are responding positively to a combination of performance, battery, display, storage and software experience.
Specifications That Translate into Everyday Benefits
The typical tablet in the ₹35,001–₹50,000 segment offers a stronger specification profile than the overall category median.
A typical device in this segment has a 12.2-inch screen, a 144 Hz display, approximately 10,200 mAh battery capacity, 45W charging, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
By comparison, the overall tablet category medians are 11.4 inches for screen size, 90 Hz for display refresh rate, 9,000 mAh for battery capacity, 33W for charging, and 128 GB for storage.
The differences are meaningful in everyday use. A larger, faster display can improve entertainment and productivity, while higher battery capacity and greater storage can support longer and more flexible usage. The consumer feedback indicates that buyers are recognising these benefits.
Students, Gamers and Creators Are Among the Happiest Buyers
The segment’s satisfaction advantage extends across different buyer profiles.
Budget buyers, who account for 23% of the segment’s persona voice, give their tablets an average rating of 4.57 stars. Students, representing 17%, rate their devices at 4.63 stars, while gamers, accounting for 15%, give an average rating of 4.59 stars.
The strongest improvement is visible among artists and creators. They represent 19% of the segment’s persona voice and rate tablets in this segment at 4.32 stars. Across the overall tablet category, the same buyer group records 3.86 stars and is the least satisfied cohort.
Professionals and productivity users, who account for 5% of the segment’s persona voice, give an average rating of 4.82 stars. Readers record an average of 4.48 stars.
Productivity and creation users together account for 41% of the segment’s voice and record a sentiment score of 0.61, compared with 0.45 across the overall tablet category.
This makes the segment particularly relevant for consumers who expect their tablet to support work, learning and creative tasks alongside entertainment.
A Consistent Picture of Consumer Advocacy
The segment’s strong overall NPS is supported by results across most of the brands and models represented.
Five of the seven brands in the segment record an NPS of +48 or higher, with the strongest brand-level score reaching +68. Among models with a meaningful volume of consumer feedback, NPS ranges from +41 to +67.
There are exceptions. One brand records an NPS of 0, while one model records +13, showing that the experience is not equally strong across every product.
The two largest brands account for 54% of the segment’s feedback. This concentration matters when interpreting the overall results because a relatively small group of products has a meaningful influence on the segment-level figures.
Even with this consideration, the positive NPS performance across most brands and meaningful-volume models supports the segment’s position as a strong choice for consumer satisfaction and advocacy.
What the Findings Mean for Buyers and Brands
For buyers, ₹35,001–₹50,000 offers the strongest overall likelihood of a highly satisfying tablet experience among price segments with a reliable feedback base. The segment combines large, fast displays, capable performance, substantial battery capacity and generous storage.
Students, gamers, creators and professionals appear particularly well served by this price range. Buyers who need cellular connectivity should check the specific model’s connectivity feedback and availability of SIM support. Comparing feedback across platforms can also provide a more balanced view.
For brands and retailers, the data reinforces the importance of a balanced product experience. Performance, battery and display are leading satisfaction drivers. Connectivity, deals and offers, and the consistency of experience across models represent opportunities for improvement.
Bottom Line: ₹35,001–₹50,000 Is India’s Tablet Sweet Spot

Across 14 models, the segment accounts for 11.1% of tablet feedback and records the best average rating at 4.28 stars, NPS of +49, sentiment score of 0.50 and five-star share of 67.4%.
It is not the largest price segment, nor does it have the highest positive feedback share. Its strength lies in the combination of high ratings, stronger advocacy and consistent satisfaction across several important product attributes.
For consumers looking for a tablet that balances performance, display quality, battery life and productivity, the data points to one clear price range: ₹35,001 to ₹50,000.
