Planning to buy an air fryer? Spend ₹15,000–₹25,000 to get the most out of it – Techarc InfiSights

India’s air fryer market is showing an interesting pattern.  Unlike smartphones, the premium segment or the ‘flagships’ do not necessarily deliver the highest customer satisfaction. Techarc InfiSights data for the ₹15,001–₹25,000 price segment recorded the category’s highest average rating of 4.38 out of 5 between October 2025 and October 2026.  The segment also recorded an […]

The segment also recorded an 84.1% share of four- and five-star ratings, while one-star ratings accounted for 12.4%. These results place it ahead of the other price segments on average ratings and the share of highly rated experiences.

But what exactly are consumers responding to? A closer look at attribute-level feedback suggests that satisfaction in this segment is linked to several aspects of the product experience, rather than a single standout feature.

Cooking Performance Is a Key Strength

Cooking performance emerges as one of the segment’s clearest strengths. All recorded feedback on cooking performance was positive, including crispiness, cooking results, and even cooking.

For an air fryer, this is fundamental. Consumers buy the appliance for satisfactory cooking results and convenience. Positive feedback on crispiness and even cooking suggests products in this price segment meet expectations for the appliance’s primary purpose.

While these results do not establish that every product performs equally well, they indicate that cooking outcomes are an important part of the segment’s positive consumer experience.

Build Quality and Controls Add to the Appeal

Build quality also received entirely positive feedback. This is relevant because consumers evaluating products at this price level may pay close attention to the appliance’s build, usability and perceived quality. Controls and presets showed a similarly positive pattern, with all areas rated positively.

These findings suggest consumers respond not only to cooking results but also to the experience of operating the appliance. Easy-to-use controls and preset options can make routine cooking more convenient.

Capacity and Cleaning Strengthen the User Experience

Capacity and size were another area of strong feedback, with all recorded feedback positive. Cleaning and maintenance also received entirely positive feedback, as did noise-related feedback in this segment.

These attributes matter because the consumer experience continues after cooking is complete. An appliance with suitable capacity and easy maintenance fits more comfortably into everyday household routines.

However, the amount of feedback varies across attributes. These findings should therefore be interpreted as directional signals from consumer reviews, rather than definitive evidence that every buyer is satisfied with each feature.

Value for Money: A Positive Signal

Despite sitting in a relatively expensive price bracket, the segment received encouraging value-for-money feedback. 83.7% of recorded value-for-money feedback was positive, while 9.3% was negative and the remainder was neutral.

This is a notable finding. It suggests that consumers discussing value often evaluate what the appliance delivers for its price, rather than judging affordability alone.

The combination of strong ratings and positive value-related feedback indicates that the segment’s appeal may extend beyond specifications to the perceived quality of the overall experience.

The Satisfaction Gap Has Not Disappeared

The segment is not without challenges. Marketplace experience attracted a more mixed response, with 42.9% of related feedback negative. Returns and replacement also generated negative feedback, although positives were more common.

Warranty feedback was evenly divided between positive and negative. These signals suggest that even highly rated products can create friction when the purchase or after-sales journey doesn’t meet expectations.

For brands, improving delivery handling, returns, and warranty support remains important to sustaining satisfaction.

What This Means for the Air Fryer Market

The ₹15,001–₹25,000 segment’s performance points to a combination of strengths: positive cooking results, favourable build-quality feedback, useful presets, suitable capacity and encouraging value perceptions.

However, the segment includes only four models in the current dataset, with 226 aggregated rating records. Its smaller sample base means the results should be validated as more consumer feedback becomes available.
