India, 7 August 2026: Marking 12 successful years, Xiaomi India today announced the introduction of Mijia by Xiaomi, its dedicated home and lifestyle sub-brand, in India. The announcement marks the next phase of Xiaomi’s journey in India, strengthening its Home ecosystem.
The milestone reflects more than business growth; it represents Xiaomi’s continued evolution alongside Indian consumers. Since entering India in 2014, Xiaomi has grown from a smartphone brand into one of the country’s leading consumer technology companies. Building on the trust of millions of consumers, the company has steadily expanded its portfolio across Smart TVs, tablets, and AIoT products, building connected experiences that reach millions of homes across the country.
Xiaomi introduced its Human × Car × Home smart ecosystem globally in 2023, a strategy that seamlessly connects personal devices, electric vehicles and smart home products through Xiaomi HyperOS. In India, the company has steadily built the ‘Human’ portfolio over the years through smartphones, tablets, Smart TVs and many more categories. As our connected-living strategy continues to expand, the next phase of our growth journey in India, will focus on strengthening the ‘Home’ portfolio in our Human × Car × Home ecosystem.
Building on this vision, Xiaomi today announced the introduction of Mijia as its new sub-brand in India, joining ‘Xiaomi’ (flagship), ‘REDMI’ and ‘POCO’ under the Xiaomi brand portfolio. Mijia, meaning “Mi Home,” is Xiaomi Group’s home and lifestyle sub-brand, bringing the company’s globally established smart living experience to one of its most strategic markets. Henceforth, our Home and lifestyle products will carry the Mijia by Xiaomi branding, while continuing to embody the Xiaomi Group’s innovation and quality standards.
Sudhin Mathur, Chief Operating Officer, Xiaomi India, said, “Over the past 12 years, Xiaomi has continuously evolved alongside Indian consumers, expanding from smartphones into a broader consumer technology portfolio. The introduction of Mijia by Xiaomi marks an important milestone in strengthening the Home dimension of our global Human × Car × Home strategy in India and reflects our long-term commitment to the market. As we deepen our presence in the category, our focus is on making connected ecosystem more intelligent, intuitive and seamless, bringing Xiaomi’s global smart living experience to more homes across India.”
As a way forward, Xiaomi India will deepen its presence in existing home categories, including air purifiers, while strategically expanding into the Large Appliances Category under the Mijia by Xiaomi sub-brand. The expanded portfolio will deliver a more connected experience, enabling seamless integration across devices while bringing better experiences to Indian consumers.
