Sant’Agata Bolognese, 9 October 2026 – Since 2004, Lamborghini cars have supported officers of the Italian State Police in operational activities and the urgent transport of organs. Automobili Lamborghini is dedicating the “Living Twice” video to this service, published today to mark European Organ, Tissue and Cell Donation Day. The title reflects the meaning behind every transport: enabling a donated organ to give its recipient a new chance at life.

Italian State Police officers have carried out more than 200 organ transport missions using Lamborghini cars. These are complemented by more than 2,100 road safety education initiatives in which the cars have been used to promote safe driving. The vehicles are provided on loan for use by the Sant’Agata Bolognese car manufacturer and are also used by officers for territorial control activities.

The first car delivered to the Italian State Police in 2004 was a Gallardo 510-4, which remained in service for four years. In 2005, Lamborghini made a second Gallardo available and, three years later, the two cars were replaced by a Gallardo LP 560-4. In 2014, Automobili Lamborghini delivered a Huracán LP 610-4 to the Italian State Police, followed by a second example in 2017. Since 2023, the Urus Performante has been in service, used for territorial control and organ transport. The latest vehicle to join the fleet is the Temerario [1], powered by an all-new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine combined with three electric motors, delivering a total output of more than 920 CV. It was presented on 4 September in the presence of the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi.

With these vehicles, Automobili Lamborghini technology and performance is at the disposal of Italian State Police officers, who are engaged every day in territorial control activities and urgent medical transport missions.
